I would like to take the time out to tell you a little about the Omaha Street School. Not only a school, a second chance to finish what you started. A place where kids can come together to escape the life they live outside these walls.
A lot of people look at OSS as a second chance for multiple reasons. I see the Street School as a second chance for the fact that no other school would accept me, and the Street School welcomed me with open arms. OSS prepares you for college and long term goals, and helps you to reach those goals successfully.
Others look at the Street School as an escape route, or a home away from home. Here at OSS we try to maintain a caring environment to keep kids coming to school-not only coming to school, wanting to come to school. I myself see OSS as a good place to get away and clear my thoughts without being interrupted by my surroundings.
So you can easily see from what I have written that OSS is known for second chances. Anyone who attends the Omaha Street School could tell you that. As long as you co-operate, you will understand what I mean when I say that this place is an “escape route”. For me, just buckling down and coming to the Omaha Street School was the best choice I have made. Now………it’s up to you to attend.
